Post QM Software - Veterans software Services
The Department of Michigan Veterans of Foreign Wars is now the new owner of the VSS Software Services program. As you all are aware of the death of the owner back in October 2007, all support for this program came to a halt and your programs began to lock down because of the expiration date in the software. The Department of Michigan Veterans of Foreign Wars is working on and currently in the process of identifying those Organizations and Posts whose programs are locked and not working. If one of them is yours...here is what you need to do: 1. Contact either Rob Weiss at 517-485-9456 or Email at vfwmi@vfwmi.org or Gary Brown at 517-726-0263 or Email gary.brown@vfwmi.org and let us know your status. 2. You must send Gary a email to his email address from the computer that has the program installed in it. Please inform him on what your Operating System i.e. (windows XP or Vista). 3. We now have the Vista program figured out and now you can go down to the bottom of this page and down load the working version of this software. It is a 3 month trial program that is fully functional. If you decide you want to use this software...just send us a check or use your Visa or Master card and go to our online store and purchase the software for $150.00. As soon as we get your payment...we will attach your renewal at the bottom of this webpage (See Below for attachments) that will give you a one (1) years worth of service. To purchase by credit card....look below for the Icon as this will take you to our On-Line-Store! 4. Your Post or Aux renewal fee is $75.00 a year. If paying by check please indicate the following information in the Memo Field: VSS Renewal Fee. Once payment is received your renewal code will be put on this page as indicated above in item 3. If you have any questions about this program or service please give us a call or email us! 5. We have made a posting down below for comments on how to do certain things with VSS that is not discussed in the manual. If you have some ideas of how to do certain tricks with this program....please send Gary a email with the subject line: VSS Tricks and we will add your comments below to help out others using this program.

The Software that is on-line and downloadable is a trial software and it can not be converted to your post without the download key. This trial program will expire in a couple of months and will lock up if you do not purchase the 1 year service. You will be notified about 2 weeks out before your system will lock down. Note: Those of you who have been using the Disk version of the VSS program when Tom was still alive must go and download Revision 3 to correct the renewal notice that you will get and change the Website address. Your old program will try to take you to the old website that Tom designed for you to get this renewal. You must come to this page to renew your software. If you are paying by check send your check to: Department of Michigan VFW ATTN: VSS Software Purchase or Renewal Fee Notice: If you paid for your software by credit card or check to the Department of Michigan your Unlock key will be posted to this page for you to download when your payment has been received. See below for download area! Notice of Programmer Cost! Effective immediately 5/27/2009 - The Department of Michigan VFW will not be responsible for the cost of repair to your program if you mess it up. If you need to have our programmer fix your program you must pay for this service. The Department of Michigan will pay for program fixes to correct program errors, but this will be for a total program release. VSS Renewal / Registration Listed below is the VSS Renewal or Registration file for your Post or Auxiliary. When you pay for this software or renewal you will see your file appear below. Just click onto this file and it will ask you to run or save. Please save this download to a new folder called VSS Renewal in your MY Documents folder. This file once saved to your folder will need to be double clicked to open it. It will install your post number and renewal date automatically. Please send Gary a conformation email to gary.brown@vfwmi.org and let him know that your attachment worked. Do not copy any other posts file as it will change all your documents to that post number!!!!!
