The Department of Michigan Veterans of Foreign Wars is now the new owner of the VSS Software Services program. As you all are aware of the death of the owner back in October 2007, all support for this program came to a halt and your programs began to lock down because of the expiration date in the software. The Department of Michigan Veterans of Foreign Wars is working on and currently in the process of identifying those Organizations and Posts whose programs are locked and not working. If one of them is yours...here is what you need to do: 1. Contact either Rob Weiss at 517-485-9456 or Email at vfwmi@vfwmi.org or Gary Brown at 517-726-0263 or Email vss@vfwmi.org and let us know your status. 2. You must send Gary a email to his email address from the computer that has the program installed in it. Please inform him on what your Operating System is that is installed in your computer i.e. (windows XP or Vista). You will be sent a email with the program update to that computer. 3. If you are a New customer and you have Vista installed on your computer, please keep watching this page for new details about installing this program before you purchase it. We are in the process of making this new operating system work with the VSS program. As of right now, their is a problem installing this on your systems. So, I will be updating this status as soon as I get the problem fixed. It should not be very long. If you have XP installed on your computer, the program is working properly and you only have to contact us to purchase it and we will send you your copy as soon as we receive your check and order form. 4. When you purchase the software and need the activation code you will need to contact Gary by phone and he will give you the activation code to unlock the program. 5. Your Post or Aux renewal fee is $75.00 a year. A check must be sent to Department with the following information in the Memo Field: VSS Renewal Fee before your renewal code is sent to your computer to unlock the program. If you have any questions about this program or service please give us a call or email us! 6. Finally, we are in the process of unlocking all of your systems as fast as we can. Please be patient with us as we are still in the learning mode of this program and all of it's problems. If you are having a problem with your VSS system, please let us know of the problem. We will work on it and get you going as soon as we can. We want everyone that is currently running this software to know that you will be taken care of when you need us! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New Customers The price for the program is $150.00 to purchase the VSS software. Please specify what VSS program you are purchasing when you order it. The VSS software will be good for 1 year once the program is installed and you have the operating key to open the software for use. Your system will operate for 1 year of installation and you will be notified about 2 weeks out before your system will lock down. It will be up to you to contact Gary and get the renewal program installed before it locks up. The fee for a new one year renewal is $75.00. This software is available for the VFW, Ladies Auxiliary or Men's Auxiliary...please indicate what your needs are.
